Venue Manager

Futsal Super 5's is calling on applications for several venue management positions available in the upcoming Winter Futsal competition.

If you would like to be considered for appointment, please review the following information and complete and return the associated documentation by COB Friday 20th February, 2009. Successful applicants will be notified of their appointment in writing and will be required to attend a meeting at the Adelaide Stingrays – Futsal office on the  

Venue Managing an Adelaide Stingrays – Futsal competition puts you at the forefront of the sport in South Australia, and is a responsibility that requires significant commitment and dedication. Successful applicants will work under the guidance of the League Manager to assist in the implementation and conduct of local competitions.

The winter season will commence in March with various regionl competitions being held throughout the week. The winter competition will be based on a 22 round template which is scheduled to conclude in mid September, approximately 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the summer competition.

Duties of appointed venue managers include:

Wearing venue manager shirt to be easily identified.

Carry out regular venue inspections to ensure playing and spectator areas are of the highest standard.

Carry out regular OH&S inspections.

Have an understanding of venue evacuation procedures in case of an emergency.

Record injuries. Player injuries that occur during an official game must be recorded on the back of the official match sheet and be signed off by the referee of the match.

Enforce playing regulations as needed throughout the competition.

Ensure match sheets are completed at least 15 minutes before each game.

Ensure match sheets are returned to RVM venue management headquarters at the end of each game. Referees must sign the match sheet, together with the managers of both teams and scorer. Referees are required to return the match cards after their games.

Maintain a record of yellow and red cards, imposing suspensions as per playing and disciplinary regulations.

Return complete match sheets and updated results to Adelaide Singrays – Futsal at the conclusion of the round.

Venue Managers /Referees will be paid at a rate of $10 per game for Junior games (2 x 15 minute halves), $15 per game for seniors (2 x 20 minute halves) and are required to sign ATO declarations prior to commencement of employment.

Regional Developing Officer for the SAFIS Programs

(South Australia Futsal /Football in Schools)

Job Description    

Regional Developing Officer – Western, Northern, Southern, Northern, Country,

Duties include teaching group lessons or classes involving a fitness, sport skill instruction or officiating, lifetime recreation leisure activity, or lifesaving skill.  Examples of such classes may include:

Fitness / Skills Training

  • aerobics - low impact, step, kick box, hip-hop, jazz
  • toning and conditioning or floor exercise
  • self defense or martial arts
  • footskills, skills programs, futsal boot camps,
  • weight training

Sport skill instruction or officiating

  • futsal
  • beach soccer
  • soccer
  • Kindy Futsal

Classes would include teaching beginner through advanced skill levels for the futsal recreational sports community and non-futsal participants. Instructors will assist in keeping up-to-date participant and participation records including attendance; assisting with the maintenance, cleaning, and inventory of related fitness or sport equipment; and readying facilities and equipment for class.

Qualifications:  Energetic, friendly, out-going, dependable and responsible individual interested in providing service and education to futsal students. Good interpersonal communication skills.  Knowledge and experience of the related fitness activity, sport or officiating skill, lifetime recreation leisure activity.  Ability to teach and demonstrate correct procedures, techniques, rules, mechanics, and skills to class members using safe and acceptable exercise principles and movements.  Prior experience teaching in a group setting and willingness to participate in further training and/or certification programs a plus.  Level 1 Course minimum is desirable.   

Hours per Week: Approximately 15 – 20 hours per week for a minimum 4-week to 16-week session depending on activity, instructor’s availability, and facility schedule.

Stringrays Futsal / Football is seeking applications for the position of Country Developing Officer

(CDO) within the following regional areas.

  • Gawler                                     
  • Tanunda
  • Kapunda
  • Nuriootpa
  • Berri
  • Barmera
  • Loxton
  • Renmark
  • Waikerie

The CDO program is crucial to the development pathway to futsal /football players with South Australia. The CDO will be responsible for implementing a range of programs and backed by Adelaide Stingrays FC in a designated regional area.

POSITION SUMMARY:

To assist with the delivery of Futsal programs in country, South Australia including the SAFIS programs (South Australia Futsal /Football in Schools), Teacher Education program, coaching clinics in schools, Futsal carnivals and coaching courses.

POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct coaching clinics in schools
  • Assist with Futsal Carnival days
  • Introduce and monitor SAFIS programs in schools
  • Liaise with regional schools to develop leadership program opportunities in Futsal
  • Conduct Level 0 coaching courses through Stingrays Instructors

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have a background and coaching experience in Futsal /football, particularly working with juniors – or – Minimum qualification required for the position is a Youth License coaching badge, relevant sport administration/management degree or equivalent qualifications.

The CDO position operates from February 1st for 3 month period. The appointment will begin effective immediately.
